I’m very sorry for the lack of updates on the site, there’s very little new with John at the moment, and I’m struggling to find time to screencaptures episodes of TW.  He is still on our screens weekly on BBC1’s I’d Do Anything but as I don’t have access to a DVD recorder, I am unable to screencapture that.  The same applies to The Kids are All Right.

An update for your diary though - John will be appearing on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross on 30th May, alongside Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber.

A large update has been added to the site today. The Gallery has had the following updates:

In addition to these, I’ve updated the affiliates pages, and this mainpage to include a ‘Quoting John’ script.  The Mobile Wallpapers page within the media section, has had 10 new wallpapers added to it.

A new Audio Clips page has been added, which includes the .mp3 file of John interviewing David Tennant and Catherine Tate on Capital Radio (along with “I’d Do Anything” co-host Denise Van Outen) to download. The Video Clips page also been updated, with a short clip from John’s appearance on the Friday Night Project available to download - this features David Tennant asking John a question as part of the “Ask the guest host” section of the show. This carrys a PG rating, as it contains a subject that may be unsuitable for younger visitors to the site.

Just to let you know, I am working on updates for the site, including FNP screencaptures and more TW screencaptures.  I am quite snowed under with coursework at the moment (I’m doing a part time Level 4 qualification, on top of working full time and having a life!) so i’m extremely busy.

I’m looking to expand the site, to make it bigger and better!  This is where you guys can help - is there anything you would particularly like to see featured on the site?  More media, more graphics?  Please comment on this post, with any suggestions you may have, and i’ll try my best to get it onto the site!

The Gallery is back up and running, it took less time than expected!!  I’ve modified the theme a little too, to give it a but of a shuffle about!  Let us know what you think!

Two pensioners today revealed how dashing TV star John Barrowman proved a real life hero.

The actor, who plays Captain Jack Harkness in BBC’s Dr Who and Torchwood hit shows, leapt into action to help stricken Downhill neighbours Brenda McDade and Ann Carden.

Brenda’s granddaughter Leigh Enguita spoke about the rescue after submitting a photo for the Echo’s new Star Snaps feature, in which readers send in their pics of themselves with celebrities.

Brenda and Ann were stranded on the streets of London after Ann’s handbag – which contained her purse and heart medication – was stolen.

They were struggling to get a taxi to a late night chemist for an emergency prescription when a silver BMW pulled up, driven by John Barrowman, who they had just watched on stage in the show Anything Goes.

Leigh, 34, of Shiney Row, said: “I think he spotted them and realised they were a little upset and anxious.”

“After nana and Ann told him their plight he immediately took them to the chemist, where Ann managed to get her medication and then waited and took them on to their hotel.

“He escorted them into reception and then found they still had no rooms ready except for smoking which they didn’t want.

“After intervening and pretending my nana was his ‘Aunty Brenda,’ he complained to the manager and a room was suddenly found for them, as was some free room service.

“The next day when they checked out they discovered their bill had been settled in full. What a guy.”

Brenda, 75, had her photo taken with her knight in shining armour on a family trip to see him in Chicago at the London’s Adelphi Theatre, after sending flowers to his dressing room as a thank-you for the good deed.

“My nana put our seat numbers on the card which she signed from ‘Aunty Brenda’,” said Leigh.

“At the end of the show an usher came and took us backstage to his dressing room where we spent about 15 minutes chatting.

“We said our goodbyes and our moment with the rich and famous was over.”

I’m going away for the next few days - it’s my husband and I’s first wedding anniversay so we’re off to France for a few days.  I’ll update towards next weekend!

I am in the process of uploading a total of 390 screencaptures to the albums for ‘Fragments’ and ‘Exit Wounds’. These will be in the Gallery to view within the next ten minutes or so!!

I have a ton of events pictures to add, but I will do these in a bit - am off to watch the new Doctor Who and Confidential! (Look out for John, back as Captain Jack, later on in the series!)

EDIT: Oh, and i’ve just realised I forgot to add the ‘Adrift’ screencaptures, so am adding those too!!
